SOCIALLY CORRECT

For years I’ve been asking myself how and where people learn their social skills. If one is to know the rules of social interaction, it must come from family, friends and religious beliefs, or the lack of these influence.

Basically, how we learn social skills is from the interaction with the people around us. The teachings we receive from our parents or caregivers is the beginning. What should be taught and how?

Throughout history, social etiquette ideals have changed. What is expected, impressed and exhibited through interaction has, in my opinion, fallen to an all time low. No longer are the days of respect for authority, knowledge of basic and acceptable behavior.

These are the the areas which need attention for society to maintain order. Knowing how to build correct social interaction has never been more important!
