One of my pet peeves is not having someone return phone calls or text messages. It’s rude! Rudeness has no part in the manners of society.
Rudeness is being totally disrespectful, even egregious. Some may believe, “they’ll get over it “. If that’s the case, it’s become a problem which both parties need to resolve.
“But I hate confrontation “, you might say. Who doesn’t? It’s always best to keep communication open, relaying one another’s concerns. That’s how a problem is solved. No one need be insulted by being ignored.
Families and friends all over the world will encounter different opinions. That doesn’t mean we wage war against one another. Lovingly sit down and explain calmly what is on your mind. Being honest is always best, just remember being brutally honest may cause damage in the relationship. Tactfully express your feelings and remember, there’s always two sides to a story.
How can we be better parents, children, brothers, sisters or friends? Love, forgiveness, honesty, respectfulness and loyalty. Call your loved ones daily, if possible. Make time for our elderly parents because we owe them our gratitude for the time they invested in us!
Being decent and caring takes action. Love is a verb! Show others they are special by giving your time!
