Throughout history, man’s existence has become more complicated. What is written is open to interpretation, laws which once governed have been deemed unorthodox and living standards (morals and values), have plummeted. Man has become more savage and more despicable in the last couple of centuries.
Just today, another shooting, in a Tennessee grocery store, has taken place. It’s not only mass shootings we have to fear! It’s the lack of empathy for mankind in general. There are times in history when social acceptance meant behaving with civility. That’s not the case any longer.
Man has always possessed a dark, selfish and utterly sick demeanor but what has caused this to escalate in recent decades?
Let’s begin with liberalism. The idiotic thought that open-mindedness, tolerance, leniency and permissiveness can exist without consequences is the root of the problem. No doubt, women have made leaps of progress as far as rights, but what are the costs? As a woman, I would rather have lived in a time when we were treated with respect, honor and yes, restricted, at least from the disrespect women of today endure. A woman should should be refined, ladylike, well educated and beautiful in the eyes of society. Yet, so many are foul mouthed, cleavage bearing, leg spreaders who haven’t any idea why men no longer hold them in esteem!
And now it’s time to switch to the men. Have you no honor? To speak in the presence of a lady using vulgarity is monsterous! If dishonoring a woman isn’t bad enough, think how you dishonor yourselves and your family. There is nothing worse than those who practice no regard for traditional values and morals.
If we, as a society, cannot respect ourselves, our fellow man and most of all, our God, then our lives and those of our children, grandchildren and the generations to come are doomed to even greater misfortunes.
I asked a young man to watch his language since he was in the presence of ladies. He looked at me and repeated the same vulgar word in elevated tones several more times. I understand there is freedom of speech but there’s a point when that freedom becomes offensive!
Once again, I state, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you! Parents, teachers and others in authority must make it clear that until our society learns tolerance isn’t always the best way of doing things, we can never see an end to the abuse and death of our fellow man.
